From the Sampieri family comes this excellent coffee. Finca La Laja is in the Huatusco region, east of Mexico City. This family is driven to continually improve their harvesting and processing, resulting in this honey coffee. That means a portion of the sticky, sugary mucilage between the skin of the coffee cherry and the seed was left on during the drying period, resulting in a more unique and sweet taste. An approachable cup, it is mild, with nice apple-like acidity (malic) and plenty of expected chocolate notes. Whole bean, 8 oz.
