In the Kericho region of western Kenya, the Kabngetuny Farmers Cooperative Society is comprised of 371 female producers - each with 250 to 350 coffee trees. This coffee has clear flavor notes, full body, and is extremely balanced.
While selected for its flavors and complexity, it happens to be a project coffee from Growing Women in Coffee. The original program focused on giving women ownership over their coffee trees and ultimately a fair price premium. While the project is over, it set the foundation for these all-female producers to continue growing, harvesting and selling their quality coffee beans. They work with Kahawa Bora Millers to process and market the coffees. Whole bean, 8 oz.
